Public Apology For Baker-Curb Story

Yesterday, I posted a story on “The Downfall Of Baker-Curb Racing” and found out today that the story was, in fact, erroneous. I had a lead on what I felt was a trusted source of NASCAR news web site that the team had shut down operations and I prematurely posted an article lamenting on the team’s closure. By the time I had finished the article, the link to the story had been taken down and I should have known right then and there something was off-kilter about the story. I forgot to take it down and I guess one could say I put the cart ahead of the horse and I want to take the following opportunity to sincerely apologize to first and foremost, Joe Dunn, for any problems the story has caused him or his site’s credibility.

I also want to humbly apologize to Mr. Gary Baker and Mr. Mike Curb for any grief the story has caused them and their race team. There was no secret vendetta or ill will intended at all to this story, just a miscommunication by a green NASCAR reporter. I actually have a great admiration and respect for Mr. Baker & Mr. Curb’s great contributions to the sport of auto racing and wanted to pay a proper tribute if this truly was the end for the team. It turns out it wasn’t and the fact is I screwed up, I admit that I screwed up, and am pretty disappointed in myself for doing so because I have always taken great pride in my professionalism. I truly hope you gentlemen and anyone associated with Baker-Curb Racing or that ran this story will accept my formal apology, and we can put this unpleasantness behind us. Again, I am very sorry for any problems this might have caused anyone associated with this.

Regards,

Brody Jones
